Alexander I. Hock, M.B.A., J.D.

Mr. Hock focuses his practice on business & corporate law and domestic taxation.  Accordingly, he is a member of the Commercial Practice Group and the Advanced Planning & Family Office Practice Group at Handler, Thayer & Duggan.

He attained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Business with minors in French and Biology from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida.  He earned a Masters of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business and a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School, both located in Notre Dame, Indiana.

Prior to graduate school, Mr. Hock worked as a Retirement Associate at Franklin Templeton Investments in St. Petersburg, Florida and as an Equity Research Analyst at Capital Markets Group in Sarasota, Florida.  Subsequently, he served as a summer Law Clerk to Federal Magistrate Judge Andrew P. Rodovich of the Northern District of Indiana.

Mr. Hock is a member of the Illinois State and Chicago Bar Associations.  He is also a member of the American Bar Association Section of Business Law.

Mr. Hock participated in Americorps, a network of local, state, and national service programs that connect more than 70,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet our country’s critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.  As an Americorps volunteer, he served as a middle school math teacher in St. Petersburg, Florida.
