Mr. Tsu serves as a Tax Associate in the Advanced Planning & Family Office Practice Group at Handler, Thayer & Duggan, LLC. His primary focus is in the areas of federal and international taxation and trusts and estates.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting Degree from Boston College in Boston, Massachusetts and his Master of Science in Accounting Degree from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. Mr. Tsu earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in Dayton, Ohio and is a Certified Public Accountant. Furthermore, he is currently pursuing his LL.M. in Taxation at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Mr. Tsu has experience in federal, international and state taxation, business planning and corporate tax transactions. In addition, he has managed and advised clients regarding federal and state income tax planning and controversy matters related to business transactions and entities.
In addition to his tax experience, Mr. Tsu is involved in pro-bono work for Chicago's Community Economic Development Law Project (CEDLP), where he has gained practical experience in estate planning, including drafting core estate plans.
He is a member of the American Bar Association and is an active member of the Tax Committee, as well as of the Real Property, Trust & Estate Committee. He is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association, where he participates in the YLS Estate Planning, Tax, and Trust Law Committees.
